ELKHART LAKE, WI -  The momentum Belardi Auto Racing built up two weeks ago at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Scott Anderson has definitely transferred to their time at Road America in beautiful Elkhart Lake, WI; the 23-year-old from Fort Collins, CO snatched a win, two pole positions and three podium finishes during the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda tripleheader weekend.

Anderson captured his first career pole during qualifying on Thursday and later achieved a third and second place in Rounds Eight and Nine, respectively. After having the fastest lap of all the 29 competitors during Round Nine, as well as marking a new race track lap record, Anderson would start Round 10 on the pole position once more as fastest laps dictate subsequent race starting lineups.

Battling with Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing teammates Spencer Pigot and Matthew Brabham early on, Scott relinquished the lead for only one lap and later returned to the top spot for the remainder of the 12-lap race and came away with his second USF2000 win.

"We came into this weekend with our success at Mid-Ohio and the team had a lot of confidence and I had a lot of confidence," said Anderson. "We used that to show some pretty good results and cover each step on the podium. Everyone has done an awesome job and I think now that we have a place up here, I will look forward to some more podiums the rest of the year."

The rest of the B.A.R. team started the triple header weekend well with Australia native Roman Laguid qualifying the first race in P6 with New Yorker teammate Luca Forgeois in P10 and Perkasie, PA resident Colin Thompson in P18. Round Eight saw Thompson launch from his P18 starting position to finish in P9 while Round Nine provided Forgeois with the Tilton Hard Charger Award when the 17-year-old advanced 14 positions to start from P26 to finish P12.

Things went a little south during Saturday morning's race when the rear suspension of Forgeois' No. 9 Gearup/Splashlight/Café Noir car failed during the warm-up lap causing the 2011 USF2000 National Class Champion to retire from the race before the green flag flew. Additionally, Lagudi was involved in an incident on Lap 1 and was unable to complete any of the scheduled 12 laps on the 4.048-mile permanent road course. Thompson was seen running as high as P8 until another incident occurred late in the race, causing the 18-year-old to pit early and come away in P20.

The Belardi Auto Racing team will travel to the East Coast next when they return to downtown Baltimore, MD for the second Grand Prix of Baltimore. The USF2000 series is scheduled to race in the streets on Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2.
