Avondale, La. -- This weekend, Nico Jamin returns to New Orleans for Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda. After two rounds at St. Petersburg, Florida two weeks ago where he scored two third-place finishes, Jamin is ranked third in the 2015 championship and is looking to improve on his qualifying so that he can start at the front of the pack and, hopefully, claim his first 2015 championship victory.

Nico Jamin visited NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, Louisiana earlier this year during the Cooper Tires Winterfest. The Frenchman competed in three races and scored a total of two pole positions and two podium finishes (second place in Race 2 and third place in Race 1) on his way to winning the 2015 Winterfest championship.

"I'm feeling great for the second 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda event at NOLA this weekend,” Jamin said. “We had a good weekend at St. Petersburg where we scored two podium finishes. But it's now time to focus on getting some pole positions and victories. It's going to be tough since the level is very high. But I had a great weekend here during the 2015 Cooper Tires Winterfest Series last February. We worked this week with Cape Motorsports to understand what we need to improve, and we'll be stronger this weekend.”

Three USF2000 promoter test day practice sessions are scheduled tomorrow, Thursday, April 9 at NOLA at 8:40 a.m., 10:35 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. CDT. The first official 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda practice is scheduled for Friday, April 10 at 8:20 a.m. and the second at 2:00 p.m. CDT. Qualifying is set for Saturday, April 11 at 9:50 a.m. CDT and Race 1 of 2 on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CDT. Race 2 is set for Sunday, April 12, at 10:15 a.m.
CDT.
