Team Pelfrey competed at the stunning Road America circuit for the latest rounds of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda and the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.

Competing at the iconic Road America facility in Elkhart Lake, Wis., Team BENIK driver Sabré Cook had a challenging weekend in the Dairy State. Racing in Rounds Six and Seven of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, Cook closed the gap to the leaders but was involved in a pair of incidents, hindering any chance of solid results.

The latest rising star from the Cape Motorsports camp led only one lap during this morning’s incident-filled Cooper Tires Grand Prix of Road America Powered by Mazda, but, importantly, it was the last one as he overtook Pabst Racing’s Lucas Kohl at the final restart to secure his fifth win of the season and fourth in succession.

Kyle Kirkwood extended his already substantial points lead to a whopping 77 points following another victory, his fourth of the season for Cape Motorsports, in this afternoon’s Cooper Tires Grand Prix of Road America Powered by Mazda.

Taking part in the official Mazda Road to Indy (MRTI) Series test last week at Road America, Sheboygan Falls, Wis.-based ArmsUp Motorsports will be back at Road America this weekend for their home event. Taking on a stout field of more than 25 drivers in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, Starkey Hearing Foundation pilot Max Peichel and late race entry Dakota Dickerson are prepared to take the team to the top in Elkhart Lake.
