INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – NTT INDYCAR SERIES and sports car standout Zach Veach has joined forces with Czabok-Simpson Motorsport (CSM) owners Stephen Simpson and Matthias Czabok to establish Czabok-Simpson-Veach Motorsport (CSV), a new Indianapolis-based junior open-wheel racing team.

CSV will focus exclusively on U.S.-based open-wheel development programs, while CSM will continue to concentrate on sports car and endurance racing across the U.S. market.

Ohio native and now Connecticut resident Veach, who will serve as CEO and managing partner of CSV, has spent nearly two decades competing at the highest levels of American motorsports, building a career defined by perseverance, technical expertise and an unwavering commitment to INDYCAR.

Veach was the first driver in history to climb every step of the “Road to Indy” ladder and reach the NTT INDYCAR SERIES with a single team, Andretti Global, where he made four Indianapolis 500 starts and competed against the best drivers in the world.

Throughout his career, he earned a reputation as one of the sport’s hardest-working competitors, combining on-track speed with a deep understanding of vehicle development and race engineering.

With the formation of the new team CSV, Veach brings that experience into team ownership with a clear vision: to create a competitive organization built on preparation, innovation and opportunity. His mission is simple: develop talented drivers, build meaningful partnerships and compete at the highest level while reflecting the professionalism and determination that have defined his career.

This also includes commercial success with introducing Dan Towriss, the founder and CEO of Group 1001 and Gainbridge, a subsidiary of Group 1001, into the world of motorsport. The association ultimately led to TWG Motorsports which plays key roles in major motorsport entities such as Andretti Global, Wayne Taylor Racing, Spire Motorsports and the Cadillac Formula 1 team.

“I owe so much of my life to motorsport,” said Veach. “This journey started as a kid from a small town in Ohio with a dream of racing in INDYCAR and, ultimately, competing in the Indianapolis 500. I was fortunate enough to achieve that dream, and I know it wouldn’t have been possible without my time in USF2000 and the incredible ladder system that helped develop me as both a driver and a person.

“I’m incredibly excited for both the opportunity and the responsibility to give back to a sport that has given me so much. Helping mentor the next generation of drivers as they chase their own dreams of competing on motorsport’s biggest stages is something I take great pride in.

“I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to work with Stephen and Matthias as a driver for them, and I’m grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me to be part of building this program. It’s a new challenge, but one I’m excited to take on. Together, I believe we can build something special and continue growing this team every step of the way through the ladder system.”

Veach’s business partners in CSV, Stephen Simpson and Matthias Czabok, are no strangers to open-wheel racing programs themselves, having been involved in programs such as Formula Ford, Formula Renault, Indy Lights and A1 GP all the way to Champ Car as drivers as well as part-team owners.

The pair, which also owns and operates sportscar and endurance racing programs under CSM in IMSA-sanctioned racing series such as the Michelin Pilot Challenge Championship, the VP Fuel Racing Challenge Championship and the Porsche Carrera Cup North America, operates multi-car racing programs as Porsche and Aston Martin AMR customer teams and bring over 30 years of experience within the motorsport industry to the new team and programs.

Co-Owner Stephen Simpson, a proven race winner himself with overall and class wins at marque events such as the 24 Hours of Daytona, the Long Beach Grand Prix and the Six Hours at the Glen commented: “This is an incredibly exciting moment and something I’m very proud of. Zach and I have known each other for the past 15 years, and during that time he has raced for our sports car team, CSM.

“Zach has become a true role model for young aspiring INDYCAR drivers, progressing from USF2000 all the way to INDYCAR through dedication, talent and hard work.

“For Matthias and I, this represents an exciting extension of our sports car program and an important new chapter for what we are creating. At CSV, our mission is to coach, support and develop the next generation of talented young drivers, helping guide them on their journey toward becoming future INDYCAR stars.”

For the 2027 season, CSV plans to field a three-car program in USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire, the second step on the USF Pro Championships ladder. The long-term vision includes expansion into USF Pro 2000, INDY NXT and, ultimately, entries in the Indianapolis 500.

CSV will be headquartered at the current CSM race shop in Indianapolis, Ind., sharing space and infrastructure to maximize synergies between the two companies and all programs.

“This feels like full circle,” said Czabok. “I met Zach first when he was 15 years old just transferring from karting to cars in the ‘Road to Indy’  when I was with JDC and we were competing against him. We had several conversations about him joining us as he moved up the ladder, and I obviously I followed his progress all the way to INDYCAR.

“After he drove for us last year in our sportscar team, we started talking about doing something more together and that we are now becoming partners in CSV is pretty exciting.

“Outside of his success on track, I always was impressed by how Zach was very successful on the commercial side of racing which is similarly important to on-track performance. His experience on that side of the business will be extremely valuable for our drivers and partners when growing CSV in the future.”

The team will announce additional details regarding its racing programs, commercial partners, and strategic alliances in the coming months.
