FORTVILLE, Ind. – More than six weeks since his last event, Indiana native Al Morey is primed and ready to get back behind the wheel this weekend at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Competing in the first of two home events within the next three weeks, Morey is looking to improve both his position in the overall championship points table, as well as the rookie points chase.

“I am really looking forward to racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway later this week,” expressed Morey. “I live not that far away so we will have a ton of family and friends on site. It will be a great time, and I will be aiming to reset my series best results this weekend.”

Currently tied for 12th overall in the USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires championship and seventh among the rookie drivers, Morey is a mere four points outside of the top 10, a position which he hopes that he can change this weekend.

“I want to be consistent and learn,” continued Morey. “If I can do that each race weekend, I will be able to accomplish the goals that I set forth at the beginning of the year.”

With three wheel-to-wheel races over the May 11-13 events, Morey will share the track with the premier NTT INDYCAR SERIES, INDY NXT by Firestone, and the complete USF Pro Championships Presented by Cooper Tires ladder program.

Morey added, “It will be a jam-packed weekend, but we have a solid group of drivers within the JHDD program that are able to both help and push one another, to do the best job possible and earn the best results possible. We are ready!”
