Oconomowoc, Wisconsin - Pabst Racing has announced the signing of 17-year-old Canadian Lucas Nanji for the 2026 USF2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire. Nanji comes to Pabst Racing for his rookie season in the series after a successful regional and international karting career.
Nanji has gained experience in cars (USF2000 and F4) both testing as well as one race at Monza, and will pilot the Pabst Racing Tatuus USF-22 #24 machine for 2026 with sponsorship from Metro Supply Chain Group.
When asked about his goals for 2026, Lucas expressed his gratitude to sign with Pabst Racing.
“I’m excited to join such a decorated team and grateful for the trust Augie and everyone at Pabst Racing has placed in me,” said Nanji.
On the topic of moving from karting to cars, Nanji noted his expectations and goals.
“Although the goal is always to win, I’m realistic about the challenge of stepping straight into USF2000 and skipping Juniors,” said Nanji. “It’s a big jump, and I know that. Still, it’s a challenge I’m ready for.
“My focus is simple: work as hard as I can to deliver the best performance possible, both in and out of the car. I don’t take this opportunity lightly, and I’ll give my absolute best every single day.”
Right after the new year, the team will continue its off-season testing program prior to an official series ‘Spring Training’ at Homestead-Miami Speedway and the first race of the season in St. Petersburg.
