Turn 3 Motorsport will race on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn road course of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend for the Cooper Tires Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio. Once again supporting the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship will run three 20-lap races while the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires will run one 30-lap race and one 25-lap race.

Turn 3 Motorsport has a strong track record at Mid-Ohio having won both the USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000 season finales on this circuit last year with drivers Josh Green and James Roe. With a solid foundation in place, the team is aiming for a recurrence of good results at this weekend’s events.

“I’m looking forward to getting underway at Mid-Ohio this week,” said Browne. “The team and I have been working really hard since the last round, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve this weekend!”

“We had a really strong outing at Road America, and I’m excited to continue at Mid-Ohio with the momentum we’ve accrued,” said Green. “As a driver, I’ve continued to grow and learn in what is my rookie Indy Pro 2000 season, and I’m ready to show what I’m made of in the latter half of this year. As always, Turn 3 continues to provide me with the equipment needed to win races, and we’re going to get after it in Ohio this weekend!”

#32 Christian Weir // USF2000 Championship

“We are now at the mid-point of the season, and it is the time for some strong performances,” said Weir. “This weekend should be an evolution of the pace we were showing at Barber earlier this year; with the information we’ve learned and my track experience at Mid-Ohio in the dry and wet, I think this will be the weekend we can finally shine. The probable wet weather has only raised my confidence since last year I almost had my first podium in the wet if not for contact halfway through my charge through the field. The team also managed to pull through two wins last year at Mid-Ohio, too, so if there is any track for form to change, it is here at Mid-Ohio.”

#33 Spike Kohlbecker // USF2000 Championship

“Mid-Ohio is an interesting track,” said Kohlbecker. “It has hills, low speed turn, and mid speed turns. It also is like ice when it rains. I’m interested to see how this weekend plays out and looking forward to getting there and seeing what we can do.”

“We are as ready for the weekend as we can be,” said Team Owner Peter Dempsey. “It’s a big weekend for the USF2000 guys as it’s a three race weekend. Qualifying will be important to give them the chance to compete at the front in all three races. The Indy Pro 2000 side is always going to be tough with how competitive the field is, but I know both drivers are coming ready to fight for it from the beginning to the end of the weekend. As a driver, this is one of my favorite tracks, and getting the double win here last year as a team owner makes this place even more special. I’m hoping we can have a successful weekend with all four drivers.”

Pre-event testing begins tomorrow followed by practice, qualifying, and USF2000 Race 1 on Friday. Saturday will host two more USF2000 races as well as both Indy Pro 2000 races.
