Portland, Oregon –September 4, 2018– Kory Enders wrapped up the 2018 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda on a high note in Portland over the Labor Day weekend after finishing on the podium in Race 1 and 8th overall in the Championship points standings.

Enders qualified 7th for Race 1 and quickly picked up two positions on the start. Keeping himself in the hunt, the American continued fighting while the remaining four drivers in front of him found themselves nose to tail. One of the drivers made contact with another car and spun off, allowing Enders to move his No. 11 DEForceRacing Tatuus USF-17 into 4th place. After the checkered flag waved, Igor Fraga was disqualified for avoidable contact and Enders moved into 3rd, marking his first podium of the season.

Race 2 proved to be the more dramatic race of the weekend with a collision right off the bat between Jose Sierra and Braden Eves that brought out the safety car for three laps. Turn 1 of the re-start saw Kaylen Frederick slamming into the back ofteammate, Ramus Lindh which caused Enders and several other drivers to use the escape road to avoid further contact. This left Enders fighting for 8th and 9th place throughout the remainder of the race with his teammate, Colin Kaminsky. The Houstonian finished Race 2 in 9thbut finished as the highest point scorer of the season forDEForceRacing. Out of 34 competitors in the 2018 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, Enders finished the season in 8th place. Plans for the 2019 season will be announced soon!

“I got my first USF2000 podium this weekend with DEForceRacing in Race 1 over the weekend in Portland. Race 2 didn’t go as well but it was a fun weekend overall and I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make the car perfect all year long. DEForce Racing is an excellent team and I look forward to working with them in the future.”
