USF Juniors drivers will step up to USF2000 on the Streets of Toronto

CARMEL, Ind. – Liam McNeilly and G3 Argyros will look to gain experience as they travel with the Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) program north of the border to Toronto next weekend. With the focus on advancing full-time to USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire in 2025, the duo will take the off weekend from USF Juniors to compete at the barrier-lined streets of Toronto.

“It is great that we are able to advance our drivers within our own ladder to the next level and allow them to gain the knowledge and experience that will help them next season,” said Team Owner Jay Howard. “We will have a full slate of drivers in Canada and both Liam and G3 will be able to learn and help with our program’s success.”

Sitting second and eighth in the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire, both drivers have had success in 2024. McNeilly earned a pair of podium results, including a victory last weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to add to his multi-win season, and he looks to carry that winning momentum into Toronto. Only nine points in arrears from the current USF Juniors championship leader, Toronto will be a stress-free weekend for the young Brit as he aims to stay sharp and expand his knowledge for the future. Argyros, who earned a USF Juniors podium result in Virginia and a handful of top-five finishes throughout the year, will make another USF2000 start as he aims to increase his seat time and elevate his learning to a whole new level in Toronto.

Howard continued, “This is a great opportunity for both drivers to expand on the platform they have already established and as a team, we look forward to helping them, and all JHDD drivers have success.”

Set to hit the 11-turn, 1.786-mile temporary street circuit next Friday, JHDD drivers will see one short 30-minute practice session to come to grips with the track before they head straight into qualifying one that afternoon. Qualifying for race two will take place on Saturday morning before the first wheel-to-wheel race rolls off the grid on Saturday afternoon. The event will conclude Sunday morning with the second race of the weekend.
