Pabst Racing Makes First Announcement in Preparation for the 2015 Mazda Road to Indy

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin - Today, Pabst Racing announced that it has added 16-year-old driver Yufeng Luo to its 2015 lineup.  The team is proud to add the first year Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda driver to its team and is busy preparing as the 2015 Cooper Tires Winterfest Championship quickly approaches. Yufeng will drive the #23 Pabst Racing USF2000 car in both the National and Winterfest Championship.

A native of Beijing, China, Luo currently resides in Arcadia, California and is in his junior year of high school. He began his racing career three years ago while racing in the Los Angeles Karting Championship, scoring a victory in his first season.

Luo will begin his first year in the UF2000 Championship with Pabst Racing after gaining experience in the 2014 Pacific F2000 Series as well as SCCA National events, where he acquired one win. He will continue racing in the Pacific F2000 series in 2015 in addition to the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda with Pabst Racing.

"My goals for this year are to learn as much as possible and stay out of trouble," said Luo.

Team owner Augie Pabst said that the team has spent some time testing and is pleased with Luo's potential.

"We are happy to have Yufeng on our team for the 2015 season and look forward to helping him develop as an open-wheel driver in 2015," said Pabst.

The Cooper Tires Winterfest series begins February 19th and 20th at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans and will move on to Barber Motorsports Park February 25th and 26th.
