LOVELAND, Ohio – The Month of May in Indiana is upon us making Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) the place to be. The USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires championship returns to the Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit this weekend for some on-track action leading up to the 107th Indianapolis 500 Presented by Gainbridge. Among the front runners in the series is the driver of the #6 Mavrommatis branded Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) car, Evagoras Papasavvas.

The JHDD team took part in the USF Pro Championship Fall Combine back in October of 2022, but the team has not set foot at IMS since.

“A lot of our guys got a bit of testing in at Indianapolis last year,” said team owner and namesake Jay Howard. “It was early on in the development for the 2023 season, but the team produced some impressive results so we’re looking forward to a successful weekend in our hometown event.”

“I’m really looking forward to all the excitement of the Month of May in Indianapolis and at the Speedway this weekend,” added Papasavvas. “I’ve earned a podium on each track we have competed at this season, and I’m not looking to slow down now. Indy is always an interesting race, and I think the team and I are on track to compete for that top spot.”

Evagoras Papasavvas currently sits third in the championship standings only 30 points behind the leader and is the second-highest points scorer for the JHDD team this season. Papasavvas will look to continue his podium momentum and add to his championship total this weekend at the renowned Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the counterclockwise-oriented, 14-turn Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit where drivers will get a chance to run backward on part of the famed Indianapolis 500 oval and Yard of Bricks.
