JHDD looks to better his P2 result from 2023

LOVELAND, Ohio – Competing at the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2023 and earning a second-place result, Evagoras Papasavvas returns to the short-oval for the Carb Night classic this Friday. Set to pilot his Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) #6 entry in the USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire series, Papasavvas is looking to build on his last year’s experience and fight for the win again.

“I raced here last year and will look to use that knowledge against my competition this year,” said Papasavvas. “Finishing second was great last year and I have had a lot of second-place results this year. I am hungry for the win.”

After qualifying second with an average of two laps of nearly 110 miles per hour, Papasavvas started the 75-lap affair from the outside of the front row. Running in the top-two throughout the race, Evagoras stood on the podium in his first career oval event. With that on his resume, the JHDD driver will look to add an oval victory to his CV.

Papasavvas added, “I love oval racing and can’t wait for the weekend. An oval race in Indy, in May…can’t wait!”

With a pair of test sessions on Wednesday, Thursday will open with another pair of test runs with qualifying set to occur later in the day. Friday will feature a short warmup before the 75-lap Carb Night Classic.
