Dawsonville, GA – VRD Racing is pleased to announce that Ryan Giannetta
will return to the team for the 2026 USF2000 Championship. The
15-year-old Californian made his USF2000 debut with VRD Racing in 2025
and will look to build on that experience in his sophomore campaign.
Giannetta's
path to open-wheel racing began with karting at age six, advancing
through various karting competitions and culminating in three
appearances at the SKUSA SuperNationals. His transition to formula cars
came in 2024 with the Skip Barber Formula Race Series, where he finished
third in the championship.
In his 2025 rookie season in USF2000
with VRD Racing, Giannetta gained valuable experience competing across
the championship's demanding calendar, building his racecraft and
technical understanding of the Tatuus USF-22 platform.
VRD Racing's Dan Mitchell commented on Giannetta's return:
"Ryan
showed real growth throughout his rookie season in USF2000. He's
someone who puts in the work and takes feedback seriously, which is
exactly what we look for in our drivers. With a full season under his
belt, he now understands what it takes to compete at this level. We're
looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish in year two with our
program."
Giannetta also shared his excitement for returning to the team this season:
"Super
happy to be back with VRD for the 2026 USF2000 season. I'm looking
forward to seeing what we can do together. A huge thank you to Dan and
Jacob for their confidence in me. I'm also grateful for the support of
our partners, R3 Recover and Wellness, Chilli Surfboards, EZippy Co.,
The Recess Reset, Radeye Visuals, Modern Army, and Stand 21, who are
helping make this season possible."
With a year of USF2000
experience and the continued support of VRD Racing, Giannetta enters the
2026 season ready to make his mark on the championship.
