Indianapolis, IN — SFHR Development is proud to announce that Simon Sikes will join the team to pilot the No. 68 car in USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire during this year’s Indy GP at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Sikes, the 2023 USF2000 champion and one of the most promising young talents in American open-wheel racing, brings a wealth of experience, speed and racecraft to the SFHR Development roster. His addition marks an exciting step forward as the team continues its commitment to developing future stars of the Road to Indy ladder.
“We are thrilled to have Simon join SFHR Development for the Indy GP,” said Andy O’Gara, Team Principal of SFHR Development. “Simon’s track record speaks for itself — he’s a fierce competitor and an exceptional representative both on and off the track. We believe he will be a perfect fit for our team’s culture and ambitions.”
When asked about his return to IMS, Simon exclaimed: “I’m back! Super thrilled to join Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing for the Grand Prix of Indianapolis in USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire. I want to give a massive thank you to Andy and Sarah for the opportunity. I can’t wait to drive for such an esteemed organization, and I’m looking forward to a great week in Indy!”
The No. 68 car will debut alongside team driver Wian Boshoff under the SFHR banner during the highly anticipated weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Simon’s Indy run will be fueled by partners Leading Lights, a Turner Woodard Development, Metal Fabricators Plus and L&R for our second entry. The team is actively seeking a primary partner to join them in their hunt for the top step of the podium at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The USF2000 event during the Indy GP weekend will feature a competitive field, and Sikes’ addition strengthens SFHR Development’s presence in the series as the team aims for strong results and continued growth.
