Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. - Returning to the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda this weekend, Team BENIK will be back in action with drivers Sabré Cook and Michael d’Orlando. Fresh off a very productive test last week, the BENIK duo looks to continue their progress at the 15-corner, 2.4 mile Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

“We had a great test last week and showed great pace throughout the two days on track at Mid-Ohio,” explained Team Manager Nick Mitchell. “Michael is coming off his best finish of the season at Road America while Sabré is aiming to turn her luck around this weekend.”

After missing the most recent event at the Streets of Toronto, Mitchell has confidence in his drivers.

“We took Toronto off for multiple reasons,” added Mitchell. “I think it was best for the team and our drivers but we are happy enter this weekend’s triple header. Both Michael and Sabré have improved greatly from the start of the season to date. Michael is back on track after a sixth place finish in Wisconsin while Sabré continues to gain experience and get quicker with each passing lap. Our overall program continues to progress and we have set realistic goals for this coming weekend.”

Competing alongside the Verizon IndyCar Series and complete Mazda Road to Indy program, Team BENIK will kick off the action packed weekend this coming Thursday with three promoters test sessions before wheel-to-wheel competition begins Friday. With three races on the docket, Team BENIK will enjoy one race each day throughout the weekend.
