“Race two for me was the best. We started in 14ththen at the first corner we were battling for sixth and was in the top four the whole time that we were fighting. Then, unfortunately there was a little bit of an incident where I had to do some avoiding so I had to run a little bit wide to the gravel, falling back to 14thwhere we started and we managed to finish eighth. So, two really good comeback drives the car felt really good, we posted some quick times, so really happy with the result. It’s amazing racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It’s really amazing. I’m a little bit upset we can’t do the full oval. The grounds here, the track, everything is just absolutely amazing. I have never driven on an oval, so that will be interesting. In South Africa we don’t have any ovals so that will be quite a challenge going in there open minded, not really expecting much. Going to take it as it comes and try to learn as much as we can.”

Kyle Dupell (No. 81 Opal Creek Capital / Pro Race Management Team Pelfrey USF2000)

  • Qualifying 1: 14th
  • Qualifying 2: 17th
  • Race 1: 16th
  • Race 2: 23rd

“Overall, I am extremely happy with my racing this weekend and the improvements with my driving, in Race 2 today we drove from a bad start in 20thto 7thplace and then got taken out by an overly aggressive driver. We had the pace for a podium today and it really sucks that it ended the way it did. Overall, I am extremely happy with the pace I had this weekend and the improvements in my driving. I had a bad end to the weekend, but at the end of the day I’m very happy. It’s really cool racing here [at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway]. Just being here and knowing that the IndyCar drivers are racing here too, and I could be in their shoes one day is really inspiring. I’m excited about trying an oval at Lucas Oil Raceway, I’ve never done it except for in a simulator and it was really fun there so we’ll see.”

Bruna Tomaselli (No. 82 Bruna & Bia Team Pelfrey USF2000)

  • Qualifying 1: 24th
  • Qualifying 2: 18th
  • Race 1: 19th
  • Race 2: 22nd

“All the drivers this weekend had really close lap times. In the last race, I was 14thand there was yellow flags and somebody made contact with me during the yellow and I couldn’t finish the race. We are improving and now we need to just keep working for the next weekend at Lucas Oil Raceway in fifteen days. I raced here last year, I already know the track but it’s always good to be here. It’s a beautiful track, nice circuit. We’re close to the IndyCar guys so very good to be racing here. I’m excited for Lucas Oil Raceway because it will be my first time on an oval and I’ve never raced on an oval so I think it will be very good.”
