Florida teenager ready to fight for National Class top honors at Sebring

FORT MYERS, FLA. – ZSports' returns to full-time pursuit of junior formula car glory this coming week (March 15-16), when rookie sensation RC Enerson takes part in Rounds One and Two of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda. As part of a planned assault on the National Class title by the Florida squad, the highly-regarded Florida teenager will go head-to-head against many of the top drivers in the nation via the first step of the Mazda Road to Indy program.

After a hectic off-season of preparations and testing, ZSports is ready to commence its 2012 USF2000 Championship campaign. With a finely tuned and prepped Van Diemen Zetec under the awning, and a talented 15 year-old racer set to get behind the wheel, the multiple pro F2000 race-winning outfit is excited to take to the historic Sebring road course in central Florida. While the primary goal in the USF2000 season-opening doubleheader will be for Enerson to gain valuable race experience, the belief at ZSports is that the former Skip Barber race winner is more than capable of steering the No. 10 Team E/Patriot Bank/ZSports entry to a place on the podium in his USF2000 Championship debut.

While the New Port Richey, Fla., driver enters the opening races on the USF2000 Championship calendar with no previous series experience, he does have plenty of resources and experience to draw on. Both Enerson and ZSports have turned numerous laps at the fast and bumpy Sebring track, including a full day of pre-season testing following a recent SCCA National event. The former karting race winner will also benefit from on-going detailed driver coaching during the doubleheader, working with renowned racing coach Jonatan Jorge.

ZSports and its talented rookie racer Enerson begin their pursuit of National class supremacy in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda on March 13, with event testing. Practice at Sebring International Raceway takes place on March 14, followed by the lone qualifying session on the morning of March 15. Round One, as part the 60th annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida, is scheduled to commence at 1:20 p.m. local time, followed by Round Two on March 16, at 11:15 a.m. local time. Live timing and scoring will be available at www.f2000.com/Multimedia/Live.aspx.
