ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing has been very busy during the off-season testing drivers from all corners of the globe. The team recently concluded their tests of 10 drivers for the 2012 USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda.

Team owners Dominic and Nicholas Cape have fielded a team every year since the series’ inception in the early 1990’s. In 2011, Petri Suvanto claimed the driver championship and Rookie of The Year honors. The Capes have never seen this much interest in competing in the series.

“The interest in the USF2000 series has been unbelievable,” Dominic Cape said. “We tested 10 very talented drivers that all want to compete. The USF2000 series staff and Mazda are doing an outstanding job, and it makes our selection very difficult.”

The team will announce the 2012 driver lineup in the coming weeks.

You can follow the team on Facebook and Twitter for updates (CMwithWTR). The 2012 USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda schedule has yet to be released. Please visit www.usf2000.com for updates.
